
APUS Bursaries – Winter 2023
The APUS Winter 2023 bursary program is now open. The deadline is Friday 3rd February at 5pm EST.

Recognizing that part-time students face barriers to accessing funding from governmental and institutional programs, APUS bursaries are available to part-time undergraduate students on all three campuses of the University of Toronto.
The following needs-based bursaries are available:
- APUS General Student Bursary [$1000]
- APUS Access Student Bursary [$1000] *for students with disabilities/disabled students and/or Deaf and/or hard of hearing students
- APUS Black Students’ Bursary [$1000]
- APUS Indigenous Students’ Bursary [$1000]
- APUS Two-Spirit, Queer, Trans Students’ Bursary [$1000]
- Jovita Nagy Bursary (for UTM and UTSC students only) [$300]
- Marija Hutchison Bursary (for students in Academic Bridging and TYP only) [$300]
Eligibility
APUS bursaries are open to UofT students who meet the following criteria:
- Current part-time students in fall term 2022. *part-time defined as registered in 2.5 or less full course equivalents (FCEs) i.e. credits over the entire 2022-2023 fall/winter session. At U of T Scarborough, a part-time student is a student in 1.0 credit or 2 courses per academic semester.
- Demonstrate financial need
- Complete the form (info is valid, complete, and received by the deadline)
- Where applicable, self-identify as member of the identity group based bursaries as applied
- Where applicable, registered with Erindale College (UTM), Scarborough College (UTSC)
- Be in good standing with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.7 or higher
Important to Know
- All applications must be submitted with a Winter 2023 ACORN invoice and a copy of your Academic History.
- The number of bursaries available is limited, and demand is high. We highly recommended that part-time students requiring financial assistance seek out supports through relevant university webpages.
- Due to volume, only recipients may be contacted.
- Recipients will be contacted after the closing deadline (approx. 4-6 weeks).
- Please do not contact APUS to ask about the status of your application before March 17, 2023.
- Funds are disbursed through the Office of Enrollment Services. All decisions are final.
- Your application will be kept private. Identifying details are not shared with the University or public.
