We aim to build a community for all APUS members – including mature students, student-parents and marginalized students through events and programming. In an effort to be accessible to all students, APUS hosts events and programming during the day, in the evening, on weekends, and year-round. We have shifted for the time being to online and virtual events to continue to build community during COVID-19

Some examples of our recent pre-pandemic events include:

Healing and Resilience: Somatic Practices with Nazbah Tom

It has been a hard year.

APUS invites members to join us in this healing group led by Nazbah Tom, a Queer Dine and Somatic Practitioner based in Toronto. Somatic therapy is a holistic therapy that uses the mind-body connection to help you survey your internal self and listen to signals your body sends. This session will provide alternative tools and ways to practice self-care as we close out this semester and move towards a new year.

Ms. Maryweather is a world renowned archaeologist and explorer however her collection of artifacts is in jeopardy. Our team will have 1 hour to navigate through her stately manor to try to find the most prized possession. But what is it? Value means different things to different people.
