About

Recognizing that part-time students face barriers to accessing funding from governmental and institutional programs APUS bursaries are available to part-time undergraduate students on all three campuses of the University of Toronto. 

The following needs-based bursaries are current available:

  • APUS General Student Bursary [$1000]

APUS summer bursaries are supports in addition to fall/winter bursaries such as:

  • APUS Access Student Bursary
  • *for students with Disabilities/Disabled students and/or Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing students
  • APUS Black Students’ Bursary
  • APUS Indigenous Students’ Bursary
  • APUS Two-Spirit, Queer, Trans Students’ Bursary
  • Jovita Nagy Bursary (for UTM and UTSC students only)
  • Marija Hutchison Bursary (for students in Academic Bridging and TYP only)

Eligibility

Summer Eligibility. The APUS Bursary Program – Summer 2023 is open to students who studied or are studying in either or both UofT summer sections (F, S, or Y summer courses). 

APUS bursaries are open to eligible UofT students who meet the following:

  • Part-time student enrolled in summer term 2023.
  • Demonstrate need/financial need.
  • Complete the form (i.e. info is valid, complete, and received by the deadline).
  • Where applicable, self-identify as member of the identity group based bursaries.
  • Be in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 1.7 or higher.

Important to Know

  • All applications must be submitted with a summer 2023 ACORN invoice.
  • Number of bursaries available is limited, and demand is high. We highly recommended that part-time students requiring financial assistance seek out supports through relevant university webpages
  • Due to volume, only recipients may be contacted. 
  • Recipients will be contacted after the closing deadline (approx. 4-6 weeks).
  • Please do not contact APUS to ask about the status of your individual application. Program-wide updates will be posted to APUS website and socials before August 14, 2023.
  • Funds are disbursed through the UofT Office of Enrollment Services.

All decisions are final.

  • Your application will be kept private.
