About

Here at APUS we recognize that part-time students face systemic barriers while accessing post-secondary education as a result of high tuition fees, lack of support from the University and the systemic underfunding of the post-secondary sector  by the government. APUS Bursary Program exists to support part-time students and  are available to part-time undergraduate students on all three campuses of the University of Toronto (UofT).

The following needs-based bursaries are available:

  • APUS General Student Bursary [$250]

Eligibility

APUS bursaries are open to students who meet the following:

  1. Current part-time students in the spring/summer term 2025
  2. Demonstrate financial need.
  3. Complete the form (info is valid, complete, and received by the deadline).
  4. Student in good standing; cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.7 minimum.

*Part-time usually defined as registered in 1.0 or less full course equivalents (FCEs) i.e. credits over the entire 2025 spring/summer session. Check with your registrar for more details.

Important to Know:

  • All applications must be submitted with a spring/summer 2025 ACORN invoice.
  • Number of bursaries available is limited, and demand is high. 
  • Due to volume, only recipients may be contacted. 
  • Recipients will be contacted after the closing deadline (approx. 4-6 weeks).
  • Please do not contact APUS to ask about the status of your individual application. 
  • Funds will be disbursed via cheque.

All decisions are final.

  • Your application will be kept private.
